Taken on the Silver Sands of Morar, Scotland, last month. The sun has even reached Ireland by now, so it's ahoy summer wardrobe! (With another very appropriate ahoy being reserved for raingear, soggy old country.)

Wishing you all a very Happy St. Patrick's Day from my family home in a little corner of South East Ireland! It only rained for a few hours today, so we were all delighted to see the sun. And Tesco came to the rescue with fresh shamrock, especially since last Monday's snow killed off any viable green three-leaf shoots!
Some photos of the Western Cape from my birthday trip to South Africa in November - the height of their summer. My husband lived in Johannesburg February-December last year, so we had a base from which to explore a little of this vast country. What a trip - I have such fond memories of this extraordinary place, of its stunning landscapes and its wonderfully warm people.
I think every fibre of my being is in love with this look. I can hardly wait to get home and whip out my beret. Kudos to Diane Kruger, as it's said she doesn't have a stylist. That's refreshing, and a little gift to the world when she dresses like this. I doubt I'll have a preferred fashion moment this season amongst those Hollywood stars.
Shopping for a new outfit - particularly one for a wedding - can be stressful and soul-crushing. Best get your vintage on - it'll be warmer too for winter wedding days. For a recent wedding I dug out a vintage two-piece I wore for Christmas 2011. My tip is to wear the highest heels you can find to take a fairly demure outfit up a notch or two. Topped with the orchid I wore for my own wedding, I felt more than ready to celebrate love, health and happiness! Wishing you all the same for 2013!
